Mechanic Lien Lawyer Boulder, CO

When you work with Volpe Law LLC, you receive assertive legal advocacy to secure the payment you’re owed for work performed or materials delivered. Our litigators represent commercial and residential property owners, developers, and contractors in mechanics’ lien matters. Moving on to your next project may not be possible if you’re chasing payments owed to you. Non-payment can stall your business operations, especially if you’re a smaller operation. Our Boulder, CO, mechanic lien lawyer advocates for your business interests and finances. We protect your rights as a creditor while preserving key business relationships as you need. Contact us today to learn about how mechanics’ liens work in Colorado.

Mechanic Lien Lawyer Boulder, CO

We represent contractors in matters involving construction payment disputes, helping you assert your rights under Colorado’s Construction Trust Fund Statute. This law allows creditors, such as property owners, developers, and construction business owners, to place a lien on equipment owned by a party who owes them money, preventing the sale of that equipment until the debt is repaid. We file mechanics’ liens on your behalf against the property where the work took place, or the materials were delivered. This may be the only way to compel the debtor to pay what is owed.

Many contractors hesitate to take these steps, especially if the debtor is a longtime customer or professional contact. We understand this concern and typically use these legal actions as a last resort. However, you do have a business to operate, and it’s difficult to operate efficiently when your cash flow is affected by non-payment.

Not every non-payment dispute needs to go to court, and not every mechanics’ lien has to go all the way to foreclosure on the property. Our lawyers identify the reasons behind non-payment and explore other options on your behalf. We may be able to negotiate a repayment schedule that preserves the business relationship, but still gets you paid.

When facing a payment issue, we weigh the value of what you’re owed against the potential outcome and any impact on your business and reputation. We believe you should be an active advocate in the legal matter, so we provide the advice and information you need to make the right decision for your business.
