Franchise Lawyer Brighton, CO
For many Colorado entrepreneurs, franchising a business is a viable opportunity for growth. Franchises open new markets with less financial risk. But before offering your first franchise opportunity, you need to make sure you’ve prepared the legal and operational framework for your franchisees to succeed. Our Brighton franchise lawyer advises brand owners on the steps to take before accepting franchise applications. We can draft the paperwork you need to start franchising your brand, in accordance with Colorado laws.
You’ll need several kinds of contracts for your franchisees, including operating agreements, investment agreements, and protections for your trade secrets and intellectual property. We negotiate terms and draft these contracts, making sure your interests are protected, and the agreements preserve your brand integrity. We also coordinate with your current vendors and suppliers to ensure they can meet the increased demand as your franchise network grows.
Our lawyers represent prospective franchisees, too. You’ll be asked to sign a franchise agreement, a contract that is often more favorable to the franchisor. We can negotiate better terms and advise you whether the contract is overly restrictive. We also review the franchise disclosure documents and explain what your obligations are. With our advice, you can make an informed decision whether you want to invest in the franchise.
When disputes arise, our team is here to protect your rights. Depending on the nature of the matter, we can initiate legal action, negotiate fair settlements in mediation, or represent you in arbitration if your agreement includes an arbitration clause.
