Aurora Partnership Dispute Lawyer
Partnership disputes can be every bit as intense (and just as high-stakes) as a difficult divorce. The person you started your business venture with, the one you depended on to grow your business can seem like a different person now, once the dispute has reached the point of a lawsuit. Our Aurora, CO partnership dispute lawyer can help you work toward a practical resolution to the dispute, doing everything possible to preserve your business relationship. However, we also take our duty to protect your financial and business interests seriously, and offer advice that serves that purpose. Whether through negotiation, mediation, forcible removal of a problematic partner, or litigation, we can resolve the matter to your benefit. Partnership Dispute Lawyer Aurora, CO
We represent thriving business owners who have built something worth protecting. When we handle a partnership dispute, we talk to the parties involved, review the partnership agreement, then evaluate documents, witness testimony, and other evidence. From there, we offer clear, practical guidance grounded in Colorado law so you have a realistic sense of your options. We know what’s at stake: Your reputation, your relationships with your partners, and your financial investment. Each step we take is intended to protect all of it.
If you have a written partnership agreement in place, we usually start there, reviewing it closely to determine each partner’s rights and responsibilities, including profit sharing, contributions, and fiduciary duties. Most partnership disputes center around these. And if the partnership agreement includes a dispute-resolution clause, we follow that protocol, focusing on your best interests. If there isn’t a formal agreement, we explore other legal avenues, including resolving the matter in mediation or renegotiating the partnership agreement to better align with your business operations and goals.
Some disputes involve more serious financial concerns, such as misuse of funds or improper handling of business assets. In these situations, we act quickly, filing a legal action to recover losses and, when appropriate, pursuing claims against a partner who has acted improperly. Our goal is to help you recover what you’re owed and seek any additional damages available. We can also assist with restructuring or dissolving the partnership if that’s the best way to move forward, often avoiding the need for litigation.
Why Our Experience Matters in Partnership Dispute Resolution
Many partnership disputes can be resolved through negotiation, minimizing the impact on day-to-day business operations and saving you time and money. If your dispute cannot, though, we are fully prepared to take further legal action when needed to protect your interests. Our Aurora partnership dispute lawyer is here to help you resolve conflicts effectively while keeping your business goals front and center.
