Shareholder Dispute Lawyer Greenwood Village, CO
Shareholder disputes can cost your business money and make operations unstable if the dispute persists. Left unresolved, a shareholder dispute could end up with a takeover bid for your enterprise or even cause your business to close completely. You’ve worked too hard to build a successful enterprise, and we know you want to ensure your shareholders enjoy a good return on their investment. As your Greenwood Village shareholder dispute lawyer, we effectively resolve shareholder disputes and minimize the impact on your daily operations and profitability.
Operational disagreements are one of the primary reasons for a shareholder dispute. Depending on the nature of your business, shareholders may have an active say in the direction the business goes and how it operates. Management practices, strategic direction, or operational priorities can quickly escalate. We nip these conflicts in the bud, negotiating a compromise or helping you build a strong case for your position to present to your shareholders.
If the dispute is over financial matters, it’s important to have legal advice as soon as you become aware of the matter. Financial disputes could be an indicator of something more serious, like a breach of fiduciary duty by one of your partners. We help investigate the matter, including enlisting the services of a forensic accountant to determine the allocation of resources, expenditures and look for evidence of misuse or misappropriation of funds.
We seek to resolve shareholder disputes as amicably as possible, starting with mediation or informal negotiations. If your shareholder contracts require arbitration of shareholder disputes, we represent you in this process. Or, if the matter goes to trial, we protect your business interests and help you with reputation management during the process.
