Attorney
Michael is an attorney with the firm. He is experienced in a wide range of civil and regulatory litigation matters. Since becoming licensed to practice law in Colorado, Michael's litigation practice has focused on construction defect, insurance bad faith, premises liability, products liability, and catastrophic injury claims. Michael also enjoys counseling clients on NFA regulated firearms and Gun Trusts.
Prior to moving his family to Colorado, Michael owned a solo law practice in Kansas, taking criminal defense appointments, including felony cases, in several counties. In his solo practice, Michael also litigated real estate disputes such as quiet title actions and zoning exemptions. While he ultimately sought to practice in civil litigation, Michael's criminal law experience provided him with valuable negotiation and courtroom skills.
Michael's early legal experience in Kansas also includes litigating oil and gas matters for the Conservation Division of the Kansas Corporation Commission and drafting business contracts and agreements while serving as a law clerk at a local law firm. His range of experience provides a reasoned approach to a breadth of litigation issues.
While enrolled at Washburn Law, Michael was a student attorney in the Civil Litigation Clinic and an intern for a law firm in Topeka, Kansas. He also participated in the oil and gas and business law societies as either a member or officer.
